Things to do in Putrajaya for 24 hours:Travel Tips on Where to Stay and Eat!

Another must see city in Malaysia is the federal capital of Putrajaya. It is located south of Kuala Lumpur and is approximately a 30 mins drive. I find Putrajaya a quick escape from the hustle and bustle of city life to a much more calming environment surrounded by lakes and late 20th century architecture, this city enfolds one in tranquillity . Its eclectic  combination of buildings and bridges are best viewed when illuminated  at night. Source :- http://www.kuala-lumpur.ws/attractions/putrajaya.htm From starting up a smoky BBQ by the lake which has an exceptional bridge view or just random drives along  structured and beautifully paved roads across state of the art architecture, Putrajaya has a lot to offer and is quite accessible both from the city and airport (for long layovers a must visit due to proximity). This time around my family and I decided to do a short stay-cation and I feel it would help anyone who wants to spend just about a day in ...

Penang Diaries- Malaysia- Day 2

Now there are several activities in Penang ranging from museum visits to beach activities its easy to loose track of time with so much to do. But some activities are an absolute must to capture the essence of Penang and its proud heritage. In 2008 Penang was designated as a UNESCO world heritage centre . The untouched buildings speak volumes of history showcasing local architecture  and design. There's  a mix of old and new unravelling a unique culture pot. The weather was extremely hot hence keep yourself hydrated and use the loo before goi...

This blog is going to be about the picturesque city of Penang located on the NorthWest of Malaysia , it comprises of mainland Seberang Perai and Penang Island. Its a good destination to experience true malaysian culture combining city and beach vibes. Penang is mainly known for the food by localites and it's easy to see queues miles long at popular food stalls scattered around the city. I am yet to do a food tour of Penang as I was with my family, I covered certain popular landmarks but shall definitely be back for some food!  p.s Shall attach details on getting there below We set off to Penang from Kuala Lumpur and reached within 4 hours to grumbling stomachs. A quick pit stop at the local mamak greeted us with local cuisine. The food was average which did dampen our expectations, I would suggest checking out " Penang Foodies " which is a Facebook page that contains all the inside scoop on popular stalls and restaurants in Penang as well as upcoming food festivals....
